South Korea's Ministry of Justice is reviewing a plan to give certain family members of marriage migrants more time to stay in Korea for childcare support. 📌 The proposal includes: • Expanding the childcare-support age from 10 to 12 years old • Reviewing an extension of the current 7-year maximum stay period 👨‍👩‍👧 This may affect certain parents, siblings and children of marriage migrants staying under F-1-5. ⚠️ Important: This is currently under review and is not yet a confirmed visa rule. 🗓️ Discussed: September 18, 2026 📍 Source: Ministry of Justice / Korea Immigration Service

🇳🇵❤️🇰🇷 Being in Korea doesn’t mean being far from home. When something happens in Nepal, our phones suddenly become our connection to everything we left behind. We may be busy with university, work, assignments and everyday life in Korea, but one message from home saying “Are you okay?” can change the whole day. Thousands of kilometers away, we still worry, check the news, call our families, and hope everyone is safe. Being a Nepali student in Korea is not just about studying and building a career. Sometimes, it’s also about carrying home in your heart while living far away. 🇳🇵🥺

Back in Nepal, waking up at 8 AM was normal. Now, 6 AM feels like the start of another busy day. 🇳🇵🇰🇷 Work all day, study when I can, come home tired, and sleep just to do it all again tomorrow. Sometimes I miss the mornings in Nepal—the warmth of family, home-cooked food, friends, and having someone around who simply asks, “How was your day?” Life in Korea has given me independence and countless lessons, but it has also taught me what it feels like to miss home quietly. We came here chasing our dreams, but every day comes with a little homesickness, a lot of hard work, and one hope—to make our family proud. ❤️🇳🇵
